*****Important Note*****
I can't always stop in the middle of a cake and talk on the phone. When you email me or fill out the order form, tell me what kind of cake you have in mind, and how many servings you are thinking of. Be as specific as possible. Since I check my email several times a day, I usually get back to you very quickly.
How much are your cakes?
Pricing is determined on a cake-by-cake basis, by the complexity of the design. When a cake is tiered, it takes more support and skill so that is added into the per serving cost. Why aren't there any prices shown? Because they're free! Ha! Gotcha! No, it's because every cake I do is so customized, they all have their own prices. Price is dependent upon number of servings, what kind of materials are used for the art work, labor time, certain cake flavors, special ingredients, research, and whether or not I have to build a special stand or buy a larger cake board. By far, the biggest cost-determining factor is labor. The longer it takes to do it, the more expensive it is.

As you can see by perusing my cake photos, what I do is very specialized. It's important to know also, that the cakes I do are very very labor intensive, and they take a LOT of time. Some cakes take more than 2 days to construct. Because of this, they can be quite pricey. My supplies and ingredients are expensive, and, as they say, time is money.
If you are on a tight budget, I'm probably not the cake designer you seek.
My price is my price. Many are surprised when they get price quotes from me. The kinds of cakes I do are not the kind you can order from Sam's, etc. . Basically, I'm an artist, and my media is food. The kinds of cakes I do require research, planning, and time. Lots of time. Also, size doesn't matter here. Cakes are priced by the time I estimate I will need to do the project.....not by how large it is, although largeness does add to the time factor. For instance, a simply decorated full sheet cake that feeds 100 will be much cheaper than, say, a sculpted purse to feed 30. Three dimensional or realistic sculptured cakes start @ $100. That is for anything below 25 servings (more servings, the higher the price).
How far in advance do I need to order?
There's no such thing as ordering too early! My advice is to order as early as possible to guarantee getting a cake for your special day. My workload is determined by the number and complexity of cakes in a given week and some weeks can sell out early...especially during wedding season (April thru September). Last minute ordering? I try to accomodate, but due to the nature of my work, advance planning is a must. I'll never be in the "drop in" business. However, if you haven't planned ahead (shame, shame), and I can do something for you, believe me, I will. You have a greater chance of getting a cake from me if you order at least two weeks in advance. Depending on the complexity of the project, I may need even more lead time.
